THY-LAN ALCALAY is a French-American choreographer, designer, and performer. She is an alumna of Barnard College of Columbia University where she graduated with departmental honors in Dance and Architecture and a specialization in set/spatial design.

She has worked professionally with Colleen Thomas Dance, David Dorfman Dance, Martha Graham II, MOVE|NYC|, Stefanie Nelson Dance, Arch Danse Ensemble, Vive, and assisted choreographer Roderick George. Alcalay is a 2025 SND Next Gen Choreographic Winner, a recipient of the Robert and Carol Horne Dance Award, and LaGuardia High School Performance Award.

She has trained at institutions including L'École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq, LaGuardia High School, Springboard Danse, the Ailey School, the French Acadèmie of Ballet, the Martha Graham School, Hofesh Schecter, and GagaLAB. She has performed works by Andrea Miller, A.I.M by Kyle Abraham, Chu This, Francesca Dominguez, Norbert De La Cruz III, Amanda Krische, Lisa Fagan & Lena Engelstein, and VIMVIGOR.
